The name Martine derives from the MD's middle name Martin first established his jewellery company in 1963 after completing a five apprenticeship. Martine J & G Ltd reached its peak in jewellery production around year 1990 employing over 30 staff in their 5000 foot factory based in Romford. The company has over 8000 designs covering rings, pendants, earrings, bangles, bracelets, brooches and religious symbols. We can also offer bespoke fitted/shaped wedding rings in all metals from 9ct to Platinum in all widths & profiles and can use customers old gold if required.
With UK volume manufacturing giving way to large scale importing the company downsized to specialise in fine jewellery repairs, refurbishing old & worn jewellery, handmade remounts and Cad design & build. In addition we can offer high value watch case & bracelet refurbishment to a high standard. Hand & machine engraving, pearl restringing, all precious and semi precious stones and diamonds supplied from stock from 1 point upwards, GIA certified diamonds as well as Eco-Diamonds the eco friendly alternative to mined diamond.
We also stock a full range of jewellery findings in gold & Silver.
We aim to service the independent jewellery retailer & pawnbroker from one to twelve branches and are happy to fit in with each customer's existing needs and demands. Our prices are extremely competitive & flexible to meet customers' requirements
Our workshops and offices are based in Romford & Basildon Town centres are fully insured with jewellers block policy and all customers work kept in Chubb Bankers safe overnight with ADT monitored alarmed premises with CCTV. Our standard registered post covers up to £10,000 limit.
Customers repairs are inspected and photographed on arrival, free estimates are usually given within 24 hours and repairs arriving on a Monday or Tuesday are usually back in your shop by Friday or Saturday.
